Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Operations Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about operational excellence in a clinical setting and require flexible at home work.
About Us:
We exist to root healthcare back in our communities. We believe that patients should feel empowered to access clinical care near them as easily as they book an Uber. We leverage technology to connect patients with mobile practitioners such as nurses or healthcare assistants, on-demand. Patients are referred to us by a range of healthcare providers, ranging from digital health to private clinics, so they can receive top quality clinical care such as blood sample collection, wound dressing etc. Our network of practitioners is c. 350 strong and covers the whole of the UK. We deliver thousands of appointments every month and are growing fast.
We have tripled our volume of appointments every period since going live at the end of 2023, and have secured seed funding from leading VCs in the space. We’re a team of technologists, clinicians and commercial leaders with a track record of success in launching, scaling and exiting ventures in cloud technology and healthcare.
Your Role:
At our fast-growing healthtech startup, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we are able to rapidly scale our volume of appointments and deliver more care in the community. As Junior Ops Associate, you will make sure that the cogs keep on turning across crucial areas such as kitting and logistics, and keep an eye on overall platform operations. Things at Heim move fast and so we’re looking for a self starter with a strong attention to detail and great communications skills.
As a key collaborator in our lean and high-performing team, you’ll act as the conduct between our client needs, our practitioners and our logistics partners. Your mission is to ensure that our supply chain scales up to support the growing demand for appointment, and you will relentlessly look for opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
What You’ll Do:
Own daily operational checks and dive into our metrics to ensure smooth running of our services (incl. Various SLAs / KPIs)
Managing incoming and outgoing communications with our warehouse
Managing inventory and stock for our practitioners out on clinical appointments
Provide administrative assistance, in particular with invoicing and record-keeping in the accounting department, as well as maintenance of other key files, records, and other important documents.
Assist with onboarding of new clients and scoping of any operational requirements
Job requirements
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 2 years equivalent work experience in similar roles
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with an eye on process improvement wherever possible
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency working with Google Workspace, Notion, Slack
Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets required
Previous experience in startup or healthcare is preferred but not essential

Contract type: Contractor
Schedule: 20 hours a week (9AM-12PM GMT only)
Duration: Fixed term for three months, with a one-month notice period
Location: Fully remote, with the option to come into our office in Baker Street if preferred.
