- Clinical Operations
Job description
Contract type: Contractor
Schedule: 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday, 7AM–4PM GMT only)
Location: Fully remote
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate Junior Clinical Operations Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient- and client-facing environment, and is excited to play a key role in delivering high-quality care experiences across the UK. You’ll be the bridge between patients, healthcare clients, and our network of 350+ practitioners, helping coordinate clinical appointments, respond to real-time needs, and ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved.
About us:
At Heim, we’re reimagining healthcare by delivering it where people feel safest: in their homes. Our platform enables healthcare providers - from digital health startups to private clinics - to offer services like blood testing, wound care, and long-term monitoring via a distributed network of mobile clinicians.
Since launching at the end of 2023, we’ve tripled appointment volume every period and are scaling rapidly, backed by leading healthcare VCs. Our team blends clinical insight with product, design and logistics expertise to build a care model that puts people first.
Your Role:
As a Junior Clinical Operations Associate, you’ll be on the front lines of our clinical delivery. You’ll be responsible for ensuring patients and clients are fully supported and appointments are running smoothly - from initial booking through to follow-up.
You’ll work closely with patients, clinicians, and client partners to ensure expectations are met and care is delivered seamlessly. Things move fast at Heim, and we’re looking for someone who’s confident, empathetic, and ready to make an impact from day one. You’ll be the first person our patients and practitioners speak to, and your goal will be to maintain the excellent clinical and customer service that Heim has been known for. Since launching, our overall service has consistently been rated >4.95/5
What you’ll do:
Act as a day-to-day point of contact for patients, clients, and practitioners to rapidly and effectively solve any queries or issues
Guide patients and practitioners through their journey with Heim
Support ad hoc scheduling needs and coordinate patient appointments via our platform
Respond to inbound queries and troubleshooting needs from patients or practitioners
Keep accurate records and maintain smooth communication across all touchpoints
Provide ad-hoc support to the clinical team, including onboarding new practitioners and managing client workflows
Support with process improvements where these allow us to help patients and practitioners in the most effective way possible
Job requirements
What you’ll bring:
At least 2 years of experience in a customer or clinician support role within a fast-paced business.
Excellent communication skills — you’re clear, empathetic, and responsive
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly (e.g., Google Workspace, Notion, Slack)
Ability to work independently within a small, high-performing team
Bonus: previous experience in healthcare, customer support, or a fast-paced startup environment
Top Qualities We’re Looking For:
You genuinely care — about people, their time, their health outcomes
You’re a strong communicator — equally confident chatting to a patient, a nurse, or a clinic director
You’re solution-oriented — when something goes wrong, you’re already thinking about how to fix it
You take ownership — when you say you’ll handle it, we know it’s handled
You’re comfortable with ambiguity — and excited to grow with us as we scale
Benefits:
Competitive pay rate
Remote-first with option to come into our Central London office if desired
Exposure to a mission-driven, fast-scaling healthtech startup
The chance to directly improve access to care across the UK
If you’re a people-first problem solver who wants to help patients receive better care at home, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now and help us build the future of community-based healthcare.
